Preamble

The founding vision that guides Nepal Unmanned Aircraft (Drone) Association — UDAAN.

Whereas unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and drone technology is rapidly transforming aviation, agriculture, disaster response, infrastructure development, environmental monitoring, and public service delivery across Nepal;

And whereas the expansion of this technology brings immense opportunity alongside critical responsibilities — including aviation safety, protection of personal privacy, secure handling of data, and resilience against cybersecurity threats;

And whereas drone professionals, operators, researchers, educators, and industry stakeholders require a unified platform to share knowledge, uphold ethical standards, and engage constructively with regulators and the public;

Now, therefore, we establish the Nepal Unmanned Aircraft (Drone) Association — UDAAN (नेपाल मानव रहित विमान (ड्रोन) संघ) to promote the safe, responsible, and sustainable use of unmanned aircraft; to unite drone professionals under a common code of practice; to advocate for sound policy; and to ensure that UAV technology serves the national interest while safeguarding the rights, privacy, and security of all citizens of Nepal.
