Building Disaster Drone Capability

The Disaster Mitigating Drone (DMD) program is UDAAN's flagship initiative to integrate unmanned aircraft into Nepal's disaster management framework. From floods and landslides to earthquakes and urban emergencies, drones provide critical aerial reconnaissance, search-and-rescue support, damage assessment, and real-time situational awareness when every minute counts.

DMD brings together regulators, first responders, and technology partners to build institutional readiness — ensuring that drone operations during disasters are safe, coordinated, and effective across Nepal's diverse and challenging terrain.
